ROSSO DI MONTALCINO COLOMBINI

A powerful, velvety Sangiovese, the Rosso di Moncalcino showcases the beauty of the terrior of Brunello. The grapes are handpicked for another level of quality control starting with each individual berry. The outcome of the fermentation is a very intense ruby color and a nose with a lot of complexity. Scents such as ripe red berries, spices and violet all make an appearance. The palate matches the nose with silky tannin and a long, persistent finish.

An all-female wine team! That’s pretty rare in the winemaking world, especially in Italy. Donatella Colombini and her team have been producing some of the most awarded wines in Italy for years. One of their property names, Casato Prime Donne, actually translates to “the little house that hosts the best women.” Talk about a power move.
