2019 was a superb vintage for CDP, and Domaine Du Pegau's history is rich. This land has been farmed by the same family since 1670!
The Cuvee Reservee is their flagship red and a phenomenal example of how great CDP can be. The grapes are handpicked and carefully sorted to ensure only the best of the fruit is used. They leave the stems on before gently pressing the grapes and fermenting using indigenous yeast.
All of this effort leads to a wine that is both bold and subtle, offering notes of black raspberry, black plum, lavender and thyme. It is drinkable now but will really shine given some time to age... this bottle can be cellared for a decade + and will only improve with time, leading to a truly sublime tasting experience.
